Amanda Conklin
Amanda has been a part of Little Sprouts for three years, coming first as a parent and then as a Little Sprouts leader, where she taught for two seasons (so far!).
Amanda loves being outdoors and spending time with her family – she is mom to Pepper and Jameson. In her free time (she’s a mom, does she really have free time?), Amanda enjoys DIY projects and relaxing on the beach. When asked what makes her a great Little Sprouts leader she boasts that she’s not afraid to get messy and she loves playing – with her kids and all the Little Sprouts littles that join them.

Sue Coyle
Sue has been a Little Sprouts leader for 7 seasons over nearly two years, coming to the program to teach after her two sons – Atlas and Oberon – attended Little Sprouts with their grandmother.
Sue is a graduate of the University of Scranton and the University of Pennsylvania and brings with her years of experience working with children and families. She loves being outdoors whether it’s in the woods, on the beach or just in her neighborhood. When not working, Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and finding new crafts to try with the Little Sprouts kiddos. She is not shy about preschool crafts being the extent of her artistic talents. Like Amanda, Sue loves to get messy and is thrilled to be back on the farm!
A wild childhood
Whether your child is a kid who loves to be outdoors all the time or an indoor cat ready to step out of their comfort zone, it is a class you do not want to miss! At Little Sprouts, we have fun, we explore, and we get messy. We can’t wait for you to join in!
Little Sprouts returns this summer with a 3-week session in July and again in August. The cost is $75 per child for each 3-week session.

FAQs
What does child-led mean?
Child-led or child-directed means that your little one is in charge of what they choose to explore and experience while on the farm. At Little Sprouts, we’ll start each class with a group activity. Afterward, we’ll have a craft, sensory tables and other stations set up for your child, but it is up to them how and even if they engage with each activity. Your child may spend the full hour and a half on the craft; they may spend their time digging into the sensory tables; they may only want to play with cars; or they may do a little bit of everything. Whatever they choose to do is up to them. No matter what, they’ll have a fun and engaging experience!
What should I/my child wear?
Little Sprouts is an outdoor class. We have a tent to provide some shelter from the elements, but you should plan to be fully immersed in the weather that day. Depending on the forecast, you may want hats, sunglasses, raincoats or rainboots. It’s recommended that you keep all those things in your bag or in the car just in case. Sunscreen is another must – apply whether the sun is beaming down or hiding behind clouds. You can never be too prepared with SPF. Bugs love the farm just as much as our Little Sprouts, bug spray helps to keep unwanted critters from traveling home with you.
Besides the weather, there is always messy play in Little Sprouts Land. It’s a good idea to pack an extra set of clothes for your child (you, too!) and a towel. Most of our craft supplies are washable, and we will email you if we are using something that will stain clothes, but wearing old/play clothes is recommended as well.
What should I bring?
Bring water bottles for you and your Little Sprout as well as any snacks you might need. We understand that kids get hungry. Stop and have a snack whenever your child needs a break. There is NOT a place to fill water at the farm. Please plan for the weather and make sure you and your child have enough drinking water for the session.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Little Sprouts is a rain or shine activity. Some of the most fun days on the farm are in the rain! In case of severe weather, we will email you the morning of your class. If unsafe weather occurs during class, we will end the day early.
Will I and my little one be able to use the bathroom?
There are porta potties throughout the farm that Little Sprouts littles and grown-ups can use during class. While the porta potties are not in Little Sprouts land specifically, they are a very short walk away and visible from where class is held.
