Seed to Fork
For over a dozen years, Snipes Farm & Education Center has hosted a summer program for 9th-12th graders from Morrisville High School.
Through team-building, farming, and cooking, teenagers learn “the story of food” and its impact on their health, the community, and the economy.
The equipment grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture enhances our “learn by doing” methods with youth, from more efficient soil preparation in the fields and high tunnels to safer harvesting and packing of crops for our local food access partners.
Students can better synthesize their grasp of regenerative agriculture, as they gain technical skills around food and farming and their leadership capacity for life’s journey!
